I know, I know it seems like Christmas just passed but Valentine’s day is coming soon and I am one of those mom’s who love doing holiday themed crafts with my little’s! The memories I have made with them doing these projects brought us together as a family and I cherish every moment. I am going to break up ideas into different posts for Valentine’s day ideas from crafts to recipes so stay tuned for those too!

Seeing the excitement and enjoyment they get from doing these makes it all worth it. Here are some amazing family ideas for you to try with your sweet little’s and I hope you are able to create your own amazing family memories with your sweet babes.

Family Fun Activities:

Movie night is ALWAYS a hit in our home. We pick a theme and make goodies around that particular theme and find printable’s off of Pinterest as activities to do before or during the movie. This is super easy if you want to just pick out a movie and have a fun night of cuddling and watching it together. It’s all up to you if you want to do a simple movie night or go all out and decorate for Valentine’s day with Valentine’s day themed snacks.

Some movie ideas:

  • Princess Bride
  • Lady and the Tramp
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Enchanted
  • Shrek
  • Gnomeo and Juliet

A Valentine dinner with your family would be fun! One Good Thing by Jillee below shows how they created an amazing table display for their family dinner.

I love LOVE this idea of writing a little note on a heart about why they are special to you or something they love about you and my girls just beam reading these when they see them.

A fun heart scavenger hunt is always great for getting them running around and getting energy out without them destroying things (hopefully!). They love search all over for these little hearts.

Maybe you have older kids that don’t want to just run around and get hearts. Here is a fun scavenger hunt you can do with them and this site already has the printable Valentine’s day clues for you! At the end you can have a small gift for them if you do those. I usually have a small cute bag that has some candies in it for them.

This is one that I love and will be doing with my girls this year. It is a Valentine’s day celebration countdown and devotional. Cortney at Mama of Littles created this amazing devotional for you to do with your kids. It breaks down 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 over 15 days. My girls struggle with fighting more than the normal siblings (at least that is how it feels!) so I thought this would be a great devotional to do with them. She already has them done to where you can just purchase a pdf for $5 that is an automatic download. If you would rather put one together yourself you always have that option too!
